			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a title="School" href="http://jonrehwoldt.com/site/?page_id=50"><img class="size-full wp-image-90 aligncenter" title="Collectionpiece" src="http://jonrehwoldt.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/6356455207_b0d1f8eb36_b.jpg" alt="Collection" width="638" height="425" /></a>This project for my Research Studio class was derived from a collection process.  <span id="more-91"></span>My collection comprised of phrases that I recorded in a bedside notebook upon waking each morning.  Most days I would not remember what I had actually written and so I began folding the pages over as soon as I wrote and then recorded all the sloppily scrawled phrases into a spreadsheet with their corresponding dates and times.  During the in-process critique I presented this spreadsheet along with two other different collections.  I decided to employ my normal <a title="Artist’s Statement" href="http://jonrehwoldt.com/site/?page_id=53">painting process</a> but changed things up by attacking the canvas in a more hurried time frame and by approaching it from a more calculated space.  I first extracted the twelve most compelling phrases and interpreted them visually omitting any personal relationship with the phrases.  The resulting images much like the phrases were almost pure nonsense.  I then approached the images, read them omitting any relationship to their origins, discovered their sameness and linkage.  I then added and adjusted in order to give the piece some cohesiveness and legibility as an artwork.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I think this is probably version 5.0 of the site.  It is newly redesigned and restructured and should be easier to use and is more Facebook and Twitter friendly.  <span id="more-71"></span>I think I&#8217;ve got a good base set up here.  Instead of slowly piecing things together on my own, I went ahead found a content management system that will be able to adjust and grow with my needs.  So even if the look changes a bit, all the basic pages and galleries will stay in the same places.  Blog posts will come more frequently and won&#8217;t get discarded.  Galleries will be easier to update and so they&#8217;ll also get more frequent updates.</p>
